Birmingham Children’s Theatre is spending the summer touring its production of “Treasure Island” — to different public parks in the Birmingham area.
Already, the Robert Louis Stevenson tale, adapted by James DeVita and directed by Kim Davenport and Rebecca Yeager, has been performed in Avondale Park and at Fountain Heights Park & Recreation Center. This weekend (through Sunday), you’ll find the show at Ensley Park & Recreation Center, with future stops planned at Hawkins Park Recreation Center (July 6-8), Memorial Park & Recreation Center (July 13-15) and, finally, at Crestwood Park (July 20-22).
Tickets are free, and more information is available here.
