Kate Wesler, a Birmingham actress and dancer who has had several high-profile jobs in New York, will make her Broadway debut in the upcoming “Harmony,” a musical by Barry Manilow and Bruce Sussman.
Wesler will appear in the musical that will star Chip Zien, Sierra Boggess and Julie Benko. It begins previews Oct. 18 at New York’s Ethel Barrymore Theatre with an opening night set for Nov. 13.

“Harmony,” featuring an original score by Manilow and Susman, tells the true story of the Comedian Harmonists, six men who in the ’20s and ’30s were international superstars known for their harmonies and comedy. The show is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Warren Carlyle.
