‘Les Miserables,’ ‘Six,’ more on tap for Broadway in Birmingham’s 2024-2025 season

Some old and new favorites are on the upcoming Broadway in Birmingham season, which features “Les Miserables,” “Six” and others.

The 2024-2025 season announced today includes:

“Chicago” (Nov. 19-24, 2024): The long-running Broadway musical, featuring songs by John Kander and Fred Ebb, about merry murderesses in jail. This is a non-Equity tour, meaning actors are not members of the Actors Equity union.

“Annie” (Jan. 14-19, 2025): The Tony Award-winning musical based on the comic strip Little Orphan Annie. Songs include “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard Knock Life.” This is a non-Equity tour, meaning actors are not members of the Actors Equity union.

“Six” (Feb. 11-16, 2025): The Tony-winning musical that’s a modern retelling of the story of the six wives of Henry VIII.

“Les MIserables” (March 25-30, 2025): The epic musical set amid revolution in France, as Jean Valjean spends his life running from Inspector Javert. Based on the Victor Hugo novel.

“Beetlejuice” (May 6-11, 2025): Based on the hit movie, this musical is about a deceased couple haunting the new occupants of their home.

“Tina” (June 24-29): The musical based on the life and music of rock legend Tina Turner.
